About Emily

A yogi, globe trotter, former lawyer and mother of two, Emily has lived many lives already but the one that continues to help her navigate it is the path of yoga and meditation.

Emily first found yoga in a forgotten room of the law firm she worked at over 20 years ago. As a then paralegal, she joined other yogi solicitors on the mat, twisting and turning in ways she could hardly move her body. Then some years later, while working in London, she began to really feel the profound effects of yoga, as it set her mind and body back to balance during some high-pressure times.

Completely hooked on yoga, in 2015 Emily embarked on a long journey of learning the ancient practices of hatha yoga, prana kriya yoga and meditation with yoga master Yogi Ashokananda.

Between 2015 and 2019 she spent over 1,000 hours learning with Yogi Ashokananda and taught in Canberra, the Monaro and London and led retreats in the Kangaroo Valley, the Monaro, Evans Plains and Barbados.

During her children’s early years, Emily’s main focus was the home and she quickly found that her practices helped her immensely in navigating the challenges of motherhood.
